It's early, but Dunc's move to Aiya Napa (Yay for Dunc!) and various people's availability dictates.
The plan is something like this - I'll fill in more details nearer the time:
1-2 | Meetup at Kings Cross |
3pm sharp | Go Karting in Tottenham Hale |
6:30pm | Eat at Preem restaurant, 120 Brick Lane, E1 |
8:30 | Sohoho Comedy Club |
12-ish | Go to a club - The Borderline (£7 in), for that authentic "Tuesday night at Klute" retro indie feel :) |
2-ish | See who's still standing, go to Bar Italia for coffee + more drinks or go home if incapable... |
Go-Karting is BOOKED
Don't forget to budget for drinks and travel - £8 for a tube travelcard, but the tube stops at 12:30 so we'd have to get taxis back afterwards.
Hotels
There's a Holiday Inn just off Oxford Circus with rooms at £96 for a twin (2 singles), so if those who are travelling down don't mind sharing, that's £48pp.
Travelodge in Euston has double rooms for £86.
There may be cheaper hotels around, but these are a decent balance between price and distance.
NOTE - I spoke to Adam over the weekend and he says that there are engineering works on the Leeds to London train line that weekend. You can get down by train, but it'll take twice as long as normal and involve multiple changes, so he's driving down. Co-ordinate through Dunc if needed!
ReplyDeleteThe Comedy Store is booked up!
ReplyDeleteThey sell some tickets on the door, but they'll all go by the time we get there.
Lots of other places say "no stag nights, or single-sex groups" or "groups must pay a £100 deposit" or other such tosh.
So it'll be either Sohoho or The Chuckle Club
Curry will now be at Preem restaurant, 120 Brick Lane, E1, at 6:30pm
ReplyDeleteYAY!
So all those who are joining us after go-karting, that's the place to be!
